Taking 5 SONY POS
Jan 07

On the road to becoming myself i have been taking a few days to get through the bullshit that is life. Im surrounded by people with the idea of what life is and how its supposed to be. In this overcast of how im supposed to be im getting covered in what is only known, and not in the thought of  new ways of thinking. Shadows cover any thought that is different from what is known and what is true. Im just realizing everyone is taught to take the easy path because it is the only one that is known better then the roads less traveled.  People that are considered outcasts, Crazy or just different are the ones that look at the same thing being done and think of a new way to do it. And i feel like im bursting at the seems to be different but im surrounded by so many of the same people i cant break free from this mold. It scares me in some ways that things dont work the way you want them too but when im told constantly things cant work the way im thinking and im not given a chance to even try it scares me more that i cant trust myself to take the risk. I cant! is tossed around in my head to much to even think anything else lately. The thoughts of failure plague me and its so funny when a song can point out soemthing so clear i didn’t even see or think before :

I can’t seem to change you or open up your eye’s
So go on and sing your sad, sad song.
I don’t even blame you the routine is nice.
Nine to five and a suit and tie.
Fear of failure a comfort zone is killed.

Braise your self’s and give into the moment.
I’ve got nothing to lose.
So what is your excuse?
Save yourself’s your dying in slow motion.
You got nothing to lose.
So what’s your excuse?

Life can’t seem to teach you the safe caught is right.
So stray from the fight.
Don’t you realize?
The daydreamers nightmare is to never even try.
You kind of slipped by.
Fear of failure a comfort zone is killed.

You cant fail if you don’t even try. And i need to start living by those words cause i do have a fear of failure. I have all these ideas that are so great but i have this fear they will be stolen or hell not even made. And if i try i wont do a great job on them. So i type out the ideas and jsut sit on them talk about them and hype them up and never deliver with an end product. I cant stand doing this anymore. I need change and i need to be who im meant to be, i cant be who other want me to be. I cant do the things they have done, i cant take the main road i have to take a detour down the road less traveled. If it was easy everyone would be doing it. Ive realized why most people dont do what they really love or dream about doing. they cant invest the time and effort it takes to reach or achieve that dream. I came to this conclusion while watching an infomercial for some new workout tape. I can see how people wanting to loose weight would get this and start out doing the things instructed on the tape but then stop becaue it takes time and effort.  The real question i and everyone has to ask themselves is my dream worth the time and effort. Do i really want this? My answer is FUCK YES !

I’m going to Keep Moving Forward and not let others influence me to stray off the road that leads to my dream.
One of the ways i think i tend to stray is i get excited about something new ive come up with and i have to tell some one about it or ill burst.

Being your self takes time, its not an overnight kind of thing. So im dedicated from this day forth to being me and accomplishing my dream no matter how hard it is.

I first heard about the Master Cleanse from my cousin, who is a chiropractor, back when I was first Diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in the late 1990s. I was in high school at the time, and realized there was no way I would be able to make this cleanse work for me at that time. I put it out of my mind, and instead placed myself on a food-restrictive diet. I was recently reintroduced to the idea of cleansing from a health-conscious friend of mine when my disease flared up.

She lent me her copy, and I read the book cover to cover. Not only was the cleanse clearly explained and made easy to follow, but every conceivable concern and question was answered thoroughly, and if there was ever any doubt, I was able to go online to Peter’s forums for further q/a. What Peter Glickman outlines is the Burrough’s Master Cleanser plan, which is not so much of a diet, but a cleansing fast. The methods are simple, but challenging at first, and the rewards are great.

I completed a 10 day fast in February of 2006 with my then girlfriend, shed some excess weight, but most of all, put my crohn’s disease in check without any further medication. I highly recommend this cleansing fast and the advice provided in this book to help newbies like myself who have little to no experience with these matters.

I found this book easy to read and understand, the exercises easy to perform, and the benefits are immediate. You begin to see changes in how you breathe and how much more fully your energy flows right away. Excellent buy, I am planning to buy more copies to hand out to friends!

Even though dieticians say this book is not based on science, they cannot say it is dangerous, because all the food groups and nutrients are included. I tried Atkins and got really sick of greasy food! It contains too many omega 6 fats, which are the worst fats for our health. On Somers’ plan there are many more choices. I lost eight pounds the first month I tried it, which I was happy with, since fast losses often bring fast returns. We’ve had a house guest for six months who loved to bake great desserts, and I have no control when the smell of a peach or apple pie in the oven is wafting all over my house, so I gained ten pounds. I’m starting the plan again, and I hope I can repeat my first month and then continue losing. I am taking an effective fiber drink for the control of cholesterol, and I wonder if it is OK to take it with orange or grapefruit juice, or will that mess up keeping the fruit separate? Grapefruit, especially, isn’t that sweet, so I thought it might be OK.

The MASTER CLEANSE SAVED ME FROM A LIFE OF SEDENTARY OBESITY!

Due to my inactivity and excessive calorie consumption (accidents which prevented me from exercising played a part), I became extremely sedentary. My once active metabolism had slowed to a snails pace. I was tired all the time and, unfortunately, this led to more overeating. Taking in way more calories than I was expending, my body became accustomed to the “feedings” and I thought I was hungry even though I was way over my daily caloric intake. Also, when you over eat on a regular basis your stomach becomes stretches out and you cannot tell when you’ve had enough calories to sustain life… you’re eating just to “eat”, which isn’t the purpose of eating at all.

People who cannot break the pattern above can lead extremely toxic, sad and lonely lives, with barely any sympathy from others. Some become shut-ins, unable to get out of bed or do anything for themselves. Along with the physical limitations and disturbing visual appearance, people who are obese are at risk of developing a plethora of medical issues. Just do a Google search on “obesity and health”. Scary.

FF to a few months ago. After doing five master cleanses (20 days, 10 days, 14 days, 32 days) I feel better and look better than i have in over 10 years. In addition to cleansing my body of all of the toxins built up in part from an extremely poor diet, the Master cleanse enabled me to press “reboot” on my taste buds which set the stage for a clean and healthy food/mouth union. That was key to my success. I lost weight, which led to increased mobility, which led to being active again! Thanks to the Master cleanse I have shed all but 20 of the 80 pounds and kept them off. No more desire for pizza, cake, candy, etc. I CRAVE fresh fruits, veggies, and healthy foods. It’s crazy but it’s true! What we stuff our face with is approximately 80-95% responsible for our weight issues or lack thereof. Being active/fit assists in weight loss and health overall. It’s really FOOD choices and the QUANTITY you eat, as well as “when” you consume the calories that is KEY KEY KEY KEY. I was surprised to find this out but SO glad I did before I was 100, 150, or 200 lbs overweight. The sooner you start, the better off you are.

I recommend the Master Cleanse to everyone that can safely fast (consult your doctor). I wholeheartedly recommend this book. Actually, you might consider purchasing a few. It’s affordable and you won’t have to worry about not having your copy. I loaned mine to a couple of friends and have lost track of it. Every time ago on the cleanse I enjoy reading the book again, as some passages really hit home when you’re in the process of fasting. Once you do the cleanse and feel the difference, you’ll no doubt do what I am doing (and thousands of others) and share your success with friends, family and anyone who will listen.

I will forever be grateful to my friend Boobie who suggested I purchased this book and try the Master cleanser the first time. The Master Cleanse has done for me what anesthetics has done for surgery. It’s nothing short of a miracle.

You can’t imaging how much easier it is to life live when you rid yourself of toxins which, if you’re overweight, will help reset your eating habits. This combination will bring you to another level of health. As far as I’m concerned the benefits of the Master Cleanse far outweighs any sacrifice involved with fasting. Feeling better day in and day out is better than any food you could possibly put in your mouth. On that note, I’m off to the gym.

My husband and I have just finished a wonderful meal of Morrocan chicken, baked spagetti squash and crisp stir fried zuccini squash. It was such a tasty, filling and gourmet type meal that he suggested I share our excitement with all the Somersizing fans! The chicken recipe is one of our favorites and we enjoy using the left over preserved lemon in other dishes. We started on this diet in Sept. and have both lost 20 pounds. After a couple of months we did start to cheat a bit and found that as long as we return right back to the plan we maintain our weight. We are off on a two week holiday soon and will try to keep to the diet as much as possible but know that if we return a few pounds up that it is very easy to loose them quickly by going right back to level one again. If the person who was looking for the eggplant parmesan recipe finds it, I would appreciate if you would send it along. I would also like to correspond with anyone who enjoys trading ideas. My e-mail is bevstrachan@hotmail.com. Good luck to all.

Lose Weight, Have More Energy & Be Happier in 10 Days is organized, easy-reading and a most complete manual to guide you through the Master Cleanse experience. I attempted my first cleansing fast and would have given up on Day 1 if I hadn’t had Peter’s book. I appreciated his honesty and benefited from his personal experiences as well as others. He has thoroughally covered his topic and I am empowered. Thanks for showing me the way to better health and wellness!

  7. Paul G.Margaritis Says:

Doing a cleanse was something I thought I would never do. But after reading Glickman’s book over and over, I felt more comfortable about this detox program.

Straight forward and easy to read, you can get through this book in a day. The numerous testimonials and questions from fellow cleansers gives a 360 degree view of what this program is really like.

I did the program for the minimum 10 days and have enjoyed better health, more energy, and a slender physique. I highly recommend this cleanse for people who are serious about ridding themselves of their bad eating habits.

  8. Jeffrey Bedell Says:

The definitive book on how to start Stanley Borroughs “Master Cleanse” - and succeed. With real life anecdotal questions and accounts that explore all aspects of the fast/cleanse, and intelligent explorations of the causes of practitioners’ difficulties. Glickman exudes a “You can do it!” attitude backed up with clear, concise advice and caring support.

  9. Robert L.Sanders Says:

I ended up doing the cleanse for 20 days (my goal was to go until my tongue turned pink), and I went through many ups and downs and periods of wanting to quit. But I finished, I and will use this tool periodically for the rest of my life. My energy was amazing (I planted a garden and repainted my kitchen, by myself!), and the satisfaction I had when I was done, from being able to see it through to the end, was more than I can explain. Anyone who wants to take control of their health truly should try this fast. It is amazing, and you will learn much about yourself.

  10. M. Blanton Says:

This book is wonderful. It goes so far beyond the normal weight loss book and gets behind the issues surrounding overeating. It also covers many items not related to weight loss which are more life coaching. I would strongly recommend this book.

Some time before, I really needed to buy a good car for my business but I did not earn enough cash and could not order something. Thank heaven my dude adviced to try to get the mortgage loans from banks. Thence, I acted that and used to be happy with my secured loan.
